When using an EPCQ-A device instead of an EPCS device, you need to take care of the pin connections for 1-bit data width Active Serial configuration mode.
EPCQ-A devices have different pin names from EPCS device. However, the user guides or device handbooks use the pin names of EPCS devices to describe the pin connections for 1-bit data width Active Serial configuration mode.
EPCS devices have DCLK, nCS, ASDI, and DATA for control pins whilst EPCQ-A devices have DCLK, nCS, DATA0, DATA1, DATA2, and DATA3 for control pins. When using an EPCQ-A device for 1-bit data width Active Serial configurationmode, note that DATA0 is equivalent to ASDI of EPCS and DATA1 is equivalent to DATA of EPCS.
Refer to the following figures to understand the pin name differences between EPCS and EPCQ-A devices and the proper pin connections between an EPCQ-A device and an Intel® FPGA.
