Why does internal adaptation of the Intel® Agilex™ 100G Ethernet PAM4 design example always fail in the Ethernet Toolkit ?

Due to a problem in the Ethernet Toolkit of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software v21.2, internal adaptation failure may occur for 100G Ethernet PAM4 design example targeting the Intel® Agilex™ devices. This is because Channel0 or Channel1 loopback mode is wrongly set as OFF during internal adaptation.

To work around this problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software v21.2, you may change the loopback mode to serial loopback in Transceiver Toolkit manually during internal adaptation.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
