Why don’t I see transceiver simplex PHY instances in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software Transceiver Toolkit when using Intel® Cyclone® 10 GX, Intel® Arria® 10, or Intel® Stratix® 10 L or H-Tile devices?

    Description

Due to a bug in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software v21.3 and earlier, you might not see transceiver PHY simplex instances in the Transceiver Toolkit when using Intel® Cyclone® 10 GX, Intel® Arria® 10, or Intel® Stratix® 10 L or H-Tile devices.

This problem might occur if your Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition Software design contains only simplex transceiver PHY instances.

    Resolution

To work around this problem, you can instantiate a dummy duplex transceiver PHY instance and ensure that the Transceiver Native PHY IP Debug Master Endpoint (NPDME) option is enabled.

This problem will be fixed in a future version of the Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition Software.
