RapidIO II IP Core Does Not Support Dynamic Setting of Promiscuous Mode

Environment

Critical Issue

Description

The value of the RapidIO II IP core parameter Disable destination ID checking by default determines the value of the option to route a request packet with a supported ftype but a destination ID not assigned to this endpoint. The RapidIO II MegaCore Function User Guide states that user logic can modify this setting dynamically by writing to the DIST_DEST_ID_CHECK field of the Port 0 Control CSR at offset 0x15C. However, the RapidIO II IP core does not yet support this feature. The user must determine the value of this parameter in the RapidIO II parameter editor, and cannot modify it dynamically.

Resolution

This issue has no workaround. You must configure your RapidIO II IP core in the RapidIO II parameter editor with the promiscuous mode setting you want the IP core to implement.

This issue will be fixed in a future version of the RapidIO II MegaCore function.
