SerialLite III Streaming IP Core Clock Frequencies Might Not Be Preserved in Migration to v14.0

Environment

  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT

    Critical Issue

    Description

When you migrate your SerialLite III Streaming IP core variation to the IP core v14.0, if your IP core variation is in standard clocking mode, some clock frequency parameter values might change.

This issue affects the SerialLite III Streaming IP core in standard clocking mode when you migrate from the v13.1 release version of the IP core to the v14.0 release version of the IP core.

    Resolution

To work around this issue, after you migrate to the SerialLite III Streaming IP core v14.0, correct the values of the following parameters:

    • Transceiver reference clock frequency (RTL parameter name pll_ref_freq)
    • fPLL reference clock frequency (RTL parameter name reference_clock_frequency)
    • Transceiver data rate per lane (RTL parameter name data_rate)

This issue is fixed in v14.0 Update 1 of the SerialLite III Streaming IP core.
