PCI Core Setup Timing Failure with Different Variants

    Critical Issue

    Description

    The PCI compiler pci_mt64 MegaCore function: 0011 fails when the setup slack is ~. - 0.744, which violates the setup time slack. The user will get a critical warning message after the Quartus II compilation is completed.

    This issue affects the following Stratix I devices: ep1s80f1508c6, ep1s80f1020c6, ep1s60f1020i6, ep1s60f1020c6, ep1s60b956c6, ep1s40f780i6, ep1s40f1508c6, ep1s40f1020i6, ep1s40b956i6, ep1s40b956c6, ep1s25f780i6, ep1s25f1020i6, ep1s25f1020c6, and ep1s25f1020c5 in version 12.1 onwards.

    Resolution

    Use an older version of the Quartus II software if a PCI core is needed for the Stratix I device.

    This issue will not be fixed.
