Why doesn't the component editor update interfaces on adding/deleting until save and reread?

Environment

    Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

Due to a problem in Intel® Quartus® Prime software version 17.1 and earlier, when you add/remove interfaces to the component in the component editor, the list of interfaces is not updated in real time. You need to save the component and re-read it for the list getting updated.

This only happens when you open a _hw.tcl file in the Component Editor which has a clock output.

Resolution

This problem is fixed beginning with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 18.0
