Why does the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software GUI hang after issuing synthesis errors during compilation?

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software versions 19.3 and earlier, the Graphical User Interface (GUI) may hang after issuing synthesis errors during compilation.

Resolution

A patch is available to fix this problem for the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 19.3.  Download and install Patch 0.20 from the appropriate link below.

Download patch 0.20  for Linux  (.run)

Download the Readme for patch 0.20 (.txt).

 

This problem is fixed beginning with version 19.4 of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software
