Description
EPCQ-A is only supported by Quartus Prime® later than 17.1 while some obsolete devices will not be supported in the latest Quartus Prime Software. EPCQ-A will be used to replace EPCS and EPCQ(<128Mb) because of the PDN. How to generate the bitstream for the system which include both the early FPGA families and EPCQ-A?
Resolution
It is needed to build the project based on earlier Quartus Prime Software, generate the .sof file, then convert the .sof file to flash programming file based on Quartus Prime 17.1 and later versions which support EPCQ-A.
