You may observe "Error code: 0xF004C002" in SDM Debug Toolkit while performing Remote System Update (RSU) to an application image compiled in Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.1 with a decision firmware compiled in version prior to 21.1.
To work around this issue, there are 2 options to update the decision firmware in flash:
a. Update decision firmware Factory image
quartus_pfg –c <input.sof> <output.rpd> -o mode=ASx4 rsu_upgrade=ON
OR
b. Update decision firmware only
quartus_pfg –c <input.sof> <output.rpd> -o mode=ASx4 rsu_upgrade=ON –o firmware_only=1
