Description
Due to a problem in Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 20.2, if you assign '0' or '1' directly to an Intel® Agilex™ FPGA GPIO output pin, it will always output a '1' (high).
However, it will work properly if you connect a register output to the Intel® Agilex™ FPGA GPIO output pin.
Resolution
The issue has been fixed in Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 21.1 and later.
