Description

Due to problem in the Tcl package in the Quartus® II software version 12.0 and later, you may see this warning and error message when running the Design Space Explorer (DSE) if you set the Concurrent Local Compilations option for parallel DSE to greater than 1. This problem affects designs running only on the 64-bit version of the Quartus II software on Windows computers.

Resolution

To work around this problem, perform one of the following:

  • Run DSE without selecting concurrent job processing
  • Run DSE using the 32-bit version of the Quartus II software
  • Run DSE on a Linux system
  • Run DSE using the Quartus II software version 11.1 SP2 or earlier

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
