Warning: Assignment value Don't Care for assignment BLOCK_RAM_AND_MLAB_EQUIVALENT_POWER_UP_CONDITION

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software versions 10.0 SP1 and earlier, this warning may be seen in if you turn on the Equivalent RAM and MLAB Power Up logic option. To set this option, on the Assignments menu, and click Settings to open the Quartus II Settings dialog box. Then select the Fitter Settings category and click More Settings.

A problem in the Quartus II GUI translation updates the projects Quartus II Setting File (.qsf) with the assignment DON'T CARE (with an apostrophe) instead of DONT CARE.

To work around this problem, use one of the following steps below:

• Open the .qsf in a text editor and manually replace the assignment value DON'T CARE with DONT CARE.
• Make the assignment using the Quartus II Assignment Editor.

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software 10.1.
