What is a 10-point or a 10-drop test?

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

A 10-point or 10-drop test is used to verify that the devices are not damaged when dropped in their shipping package.

The test procedure involves dropping the packaged devices from a height of 3 feet on all 6 flat sides of the package, one corner, and 3 radiating sides of that corner (10 drops total). The devices are then inspected for any damage. There should be no signs of damage to the devices.

Altera's packing method meets the specifications.
