Description

The following critical warning may appear after the fitter stage when an unused data pin is placed on a reserved hard memory controller (HMC) GND pin.

Critical Warning (11887): The following pin <data pin> was placed in a reserved GND location. This may cause decreased performance for HMC. Altera recommends the pin location to be grounded

 

Resolution

This critical warning may safely be ignored without losing HMC performance.
