If you connect a narrow master that has a larger maximum burst length larger than the slave port it is connected to, you may experience data corruption due to a simultaneous read and write access. The simultaneous read and write access is caused by the burst adapter that is auto inserted between the master and slave.
To workaround this issue place a pipeline bridge into this path with the following characteristics:
- Bridge data width equal to the master data width
- Bridge maximum burst count equal to the slave maximum burst count
This workaround will separate the data width and burst adaptation logic. If your system cannot tolerate the additional latency caused by the addition of the pipeline bridge you can disable the pipeline options.
