What is the DES megafunction?

Description The Data Encryption Standard (DES) is the most common data encryption algorithm for secure network transactions. DES uses a 56-bit key. DES megafunctions are available from Altera Megafunction Partners Program (AMPPSM) partners.

Due to export restrictions, DES megafunctions may not be available to customers located outside the U.S. or to certain foreign nationals located in the U.S. Such customers should contact the megafunction vendor directly for further information regarding export restrictions.
