Description
The recommended pin height for the 10-pin male header used to mate to Altera® download cables will be 0.230". This is the pin height used on the 10-pin headers used on Altera Development kits. The 10-pin header will be used to connect to an Altera download cable (USB-Blaster™, EthernetBlaster, or ByteBlaster™)
The USB-Blaster Download Cable User Guide (PDF) shows the recommended pin width (0.025") and pin spacing (0.100") for the 10-pin header in Figure 2.4.
Resolution
On Altera\'s Development Kits a Samtec 2x5 10-pin (Part# TSM-105-01-T-DV-TR) header is used.
The recommended pin height is scheduled to be added to Figure 2-4 in a future revision of the USB-Blaster Download Cable User Guide.
