Is there any known issue with programming an EPCS device via the Enhanced Serial Flashloader (SFL) IP, when using the Quartus II software versions 10.0 SP1 and earlier?

Description

Yes, when using the Quartus® II software version 10.0 SP1 and earlier, the data output (ASDO) from the Enhanced SFL when programming an EPCS device does not meet the minimum hold (tDH) timing requirement for EPCS devices. This may result in incorrect data being programmed into the EPCS device, resulting in verification and configuration failure.


 

Resolution The Enhanced SFL is fixed in Quartus II software version 10.1.
