Why do I get a configuration failure: "SRAM load unsuccessful" message when programming the FLEX® 10K peripheral component interconnect (PCI) prototype board (PCI/A) with the BitBlasterTM download cable?

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description The PCI demo board does not include all the recommended pull-up resistors on the device's configuration pins. Therefore, the configuration hardware may fail when attempting to configure the device. To prevent this failure, you should add the recommended 1 K pull-up resistors to the nSTATUS and CONF_DONE pins.

Note: This problem may also affect the ByteBlasterTM download cable.
