Why am I getting the "Error : JTAG instruction length of device #0 NOT specified!" error message?

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description Reason
  • One or more non-Altera or unsupported devices exist in the JTAG chain without their JTAG instruction lengths specified in the CDF file.
  • There is a bug in the CDFParser module that causes the program fails to detect the supported devices.

    Solution

    1. Specify the JTAG instruction length of the non-Altera or unsupported devices in the CDF file.
    2. Version 1.1 fixes the problem.
