Can I use a JEDEC File (.jed) to program EPM5032, EPM5016, or Classic devices?

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description Yes. During compilation, MAX PLUS II automatically creates a JEDEC File and a Programmer Object File (.pof) for EPM5032, EPM5016, and Classic devices. Altera recommends that you use the POF when rogramming MAX 5000 devices with third-party programmers. However, some older programmers still use a JEDEC File.
