Why does my distributed DSE compilation fail on a 64-bit Linux operating system when I use ClearCase revision control?

Description

Quartus® II compilations using distributed Design Space Explorer (DSE) may fail on 64-bit Linux operating systems if you are using a ClearCase revision control system.

Design Space Explorer may also generate error messages indicating problems in the communication between the DSE master and DSE slave processes.

To avoid this issue, run DSE compilations outside of a ClearCase view.
