Error: "Can't start compiler. You are running a new version of the Quartus software and must update settings in the system registry."

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description This error may occur when the Quartus software is not properly registered. The solution is to execute the following command: 
runq -q

at the command prompt from the <Quartus directory>/bin directory. This forces the Quartus software to re-register itself into the system registry.
