Why pause frame with empty source address is transmitted by the 10G Ethernet MAC?

Description When TX address insertion feature is disabled and the 10G Ethernet MAC pause frame generation feature is used, the 10G Ethernet MAC will not insert the source address field to the generated pause frame.

This will be fix in Quartus II software version 12.0.

Note:

Solution for this will be regardless of the configuration. 10G Ethernet MAC will insert the source address for the pause frame. After the fix, if users choose not to insert source address, 10G Ethernet MAC will not insert the source address for normal frame but the generated pause frame will contain the source address that being set by users.

Users can set the source address for transmit path on registers:
       tx_addrins_macaddr0 and tx_addrins_macaddr1
