Description This warning message is generated by the Quartus® II software when wildcards are used in single point assignments.

For example, the following assignment in the Compiler Settings File (.csf) causes the warning message:

ram_data* : LOCATION = IOBANK_4;

Wildcards are currently supported only for timing assignments, point-to-point global signal assignments, and point-to-point delay chain assignments (e.g. the Decrease Input Delay to Internal Cells option for Stratix devices).

Wildcard support will be enhanced in future versions of the Quartus II software.
