Why does SOPC Builder not respond when I click on "Tools > Options" menu item?

Description

Quartus® II keeps a cache folder of your previously installed IP components and settings in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\.altera.quartus\ip\<version> folder. Some files in the folder might be corrupted or locked for some unknown reason.

Delete this cache folder if you do not need them anymore. Delete the version of the folder which the same version that your SOPC Builder is having the issue. Restart your SOPC Builder and the folder will be re-created again.

If you cannot find this cache folder in C:\Documents and Settings, check the location of your HOME environment in System Properties -> Advanced -> Environment Variables. Find this cache folder location according to the HOME environment setting.
