Critical Issue
Description
The Quartus® II software release version 14.0 simulations containing the Avalon® Interrupt Source fail during the elaboration stage in Cadence® NC-Sim® version 13.10. Your design will fail when:
- The design includes the Verilog version of the Avalon Interrupt Source,
- The Avalon Interrupt Source parameter
ASYNCHRONOUS_INTERRUPTis set to 0, and - You are using a Cadence NC-Sim version prior to 13.10.s017
The following error is reported:
ncelab: *F,INTERR: INTERNAL EXCEPTION

The tool has encountered an unexpected condition and must exit.
Contact Cadence Design Systems customer support about this
problem and provide enough information to help us reproduce it,
including the logfile that contains this error message.

Resolution
Cadence has fixed this issue in NC-Sim 13.10.s017 and 13.20.
If using a previous version of NC-Sim, you can workaround this issue by specifying debug options during compilation (-linedebug) or using -DISABLE_DLC during elaboration.
