How can I view the JTAG ID code from the chain of devices on my board using an Altera® download cable?

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description The JTAG ID code can be read by entering the 'Jtagconfig' command at the DOS prompt. Make sure the power supply and download cable are connected to the board.
