Why does my server auto reboot when the Intel® Programmable Acceleration Card D5005 is installed?

Description

When you plug Intel® Programmable Acceleration Card D5005 into your server, after a few minutes, you may find the server auto reboot and can not detect the D5005 Card. The problem is caused by overheating and the server is automatically shut down by the BMC function.

Resolution

To work around this problem, you should change the thermal configuration as follows:

Enter BIOS/Platform configuration-->Advanced Options--> Fan and Thermal Options, set Thermal Configuration to "Maximum Cooling".
