LCV Errors Do Not Update CPRI IP Core CPRI_INTR Register and Do Not Trigger cpu_irq Interrupt Signal

Environment

    Quartus® II Subscription Edition

Critical Issue

Description

When the CPRI IP core detects excessive line code violations (LCVs), it should set the los_lcv field of the CPRI_STATUS register and assert the cpu_irq_cpri output signal (bit [4] of the cpu_irq_vector output signal). However, the issue is that the register field might not be set and cpu_irq_cpri might not assert even in the case of excessive LCVs.

Resolution

This issue has no workaround. Do not rely on the cpu_irq_cpri output signal to indicate LCV errors.

This issue is fixed in version 12.1 of the CPRI MegaCore function.
