Description
To run the SignalTap® II logic analyzer, you need the following files:
- SignalTap File (.stp)
- SRAM Object File (.sof) with the SignalTap II analyzer enabled
Although the Quartus® II project is not required, it is recommended. The project database contains information about the integrity of the current SignalTap II session. Without the project database, there is no way to verify that the current STP file matches the SOF that is downloaded to the device. If you have an STP file that does not match the SOF you will see incorrect data captured in the SignalTap II logic analyzer.
