Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 16.1.2 and earlier, you may see this internal error during fitter compilation. This problem occurs when you have an incorrect voltage set for the device IO standard in .qsf (quartus settings file).

Resolution

To work around this problem, change the following constraint in your .qsf to the correct voltage:

set_global_assignment -name STRATIX_DEVICE_IO_STANDARD "1.8 V"
