Why does the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager hang?

Environment

    Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard Edition

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition software version 17.1 Update 1 and earlier, you may see the MegaWizard™ Plug-In Manager window hang when you try to edit the content parameter.

 

Resolution

To workaround the problem, expand the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager window before doing anything else.

This problem is fixed starting with the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 18.0.
