Description
To transmit START, TERMINATE, and ALIGN code groups from the transceiver when configured in XAUI mode for Stratix® , Arria® , and Cyclone® transceiver devices you should present IDLE code groups to the tx_datain port of the transceiver instance. The XAUI state machine inside the transceiver automatically converts IDLE code groups to ALIGN /A/, /R/, /SKIP/ and Sync /K/ code groups as required by the XAUI specification.
The IDLE code group is defined as 0x0707.
