    Description

In the Quartus II software release version 14.0, the PowerPlay Power Analyzer reports incorrect power for some Cyclone V and Arria V SoCs. The total static power reported does not include the hard processor system (HPS) static power for the maximum power characteristic, so the total power is incorrect.

    • 5CSXFC5
    • 5CSXFC6
    • 5CSTFD5
    • 5CSTFD6

This issue affects the following Arria V SoCs:

    Resolution

This issue is fixed in the Quartus II software release version 14.1.

For the Quartus II software release version 14.0, you must use the PowerPlay Early Power Estimator (EPE) to determine the correct total power.
