Due to a problem in Quartus® II software version 15.0, you may see the following error message when using the address extender IP in Qsys:

To work around this issue, copy the component hardware declaration file altera_address_span_extender_hw.tcl from the Quartus II software version 14.1 installation directory to the Quartus II software version 15.0.
This issue is schedule to be fixed in future version of the Quartus II software.
