Can Stratix® GX and Stratix II GX transceivers drive/receive high speed signals over long copper cables e.g. Cat5e, Cat6, etc?

Description

Stratix® GX and Stratix II GX transceivers are not designed to drive long cable lengths.   

You can use external cable drivers and cable equalizers to connect Stratix GX and Stratix II GX transceivers to drive long cable lengths.
