The .jam file format does not store any of the programming option selections that were turned ON in the Quartus® II Programmer window. In the Quartus II Programmer window, the programming options will be ignored when creating a .jam file. Therefore the .jam file does not have the capability to allow users to select options such as program, verify, blank check, or erase on individual devices.
When executing the .jam file through the Jam STAPL Player, you can choose which operation to apply. However, if it is a multi-device .jam file, the operation you choose will apply to all the devices in the JTAG chain since there is a data file for each device in the multi-device .jam file.
