Description
When selecting Intel Generic Quad SPI controller IP in Intel® MAX® 10 FPGA series, Intel EPCQ cannot be selected as configuration device or data storage device.
Resolution
This is a support limitation of Intel MAX 10 FPGA product. Intel EPCQ requires Active Serial Memory Interface (ASMI) block available at the FPGA side so it can be used. However, Intel MAX 10 devices do not come with any ASMI block.
Other QSPI flash devices are selectable for storing data in Intel MAX 10 devices.
