Description

You may see above internal error when you run the PowerPlay Power Analyzer tool with a .qsf assignment statement that includes an asterisk (*).  

Resolution

Delete the asterisk in your .qsf and re-run the PowerPlay Power Analyzer tool or update to the Quartus® II software version 12.0 or later.
