How do I display the PCB Layer column in the Pin Planner?

Environment

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software versions 10.1 and later, the Pin Planner only provides the option to display the PCB Layer column when you display SSN analysis results.

To make the PCB Layer column visible, perform the following steps:

  1. Run the SSN Analyzer
  2. Open the Pin Planner
  3. Right click in the Pin Planner package view window and turn on the Show SSN Analysis Results option
  4. Close and reopen the Pin Planner
  5. Right click in the All Pins list and select the Customize Columns... option. The PCB Layer column appears in the Available columns list

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future version of the Quartus II software.
