How do I disable Hyper Initialization in Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Software for Intel® Stratix® 10 device?

Description

By default, Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Software design will have the "Hyper Initialization" option enable for Intel® Stratix® 10 device. In order to reduce configuration bitstream, you will need to disable "Hyper Initialization" feature.

Resolution

You can disable "Hyper Initialization" by going to "Device and Pin Options", under "Configuration" category,  tick check box "Disable Register Power-up Initialization" to disable the "Hyper Initialization". If enabled, during "Analysis & Synthesis", you may see warning message as below: 

Warning Message - User-defined initial register values cannot be respected in the "Disable Register Power-up initialization" flow;please refer to the synthesis report panel "Registers with Explicit Power-Up Settings" for partition "root_partition" for more details.
