Why is my rx_signaldetect output signal always HIGH even when there is no serial data input at my receiver?

Environment

  • Stratix® II GX FPGA
  • PCI
  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description The signal detect feature is not supported in any mode other than PIPE (Physical Interface for PCI Express)on Stratix® II GX Devices.  For all modes except PIPE, the rx_signaldetect (if selected in MegaWizard) from the transceiver to the PLD core is forced HIGH. The user must not use this signal as an indication of valid data input level at the receiver.
