Is it possible to store user data in the same storage device used for FPGA configuration?

Environment

    Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

If your design implementation needs a non-volatile storage capacity, you can store the non-configuration data after the configuration bitstream stored in the specified sectors in the storage device, but not before the configuration bitstream, or within the configuration bitstream. The FPGA will enter user mode after reading the configuration bitstream and the rest of the data in the storage device will be ignored.
