Why are Intel® Stratix® 10 TX E-Tile transceiver channels missing when using the Intel Quartus® Prime Pro software version 18.0 and earlier Transceiver Toolkit?

Environment

  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

    Due to a bug in the Intel Quartus Prime Pro software version 18.0 and earlier Transceiver Toolkit, you may see missing Intel Stratix 10 TX E-Tile transceiver channels if your design uses channels in more than one E-Tile.

    For example , if you have transceiver channels placed in E-Tile transceiver banks 9A and 9B, you may not see the channels in bank 9B.

    Resolution

    To work around this problem, you should only use one transceiver E-Tile when planning to use the Intel Quartus Prime Pro software version 18.0 and earlier Transceiver Toolkit for debug and signal tuning.

    This problem will be fixed in a future version of the Intel Quartus Prime Pro software.
