Why can't I meet the target impedance when entering 0mA into the PDN Tool?

Environment

    Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

In the Power Distribution Network (PDN) tool, you may not be able to meet the target impendence when entering 0mA into the tool.

If low current power supply pin types like VCCBAT are set to 0mA, a high effective impedance will be calculated. Other power supply pin types may also show this problem.

The minimum allowable non-zero current entry into the PDN Tool is 0.001A. If 0A is entered into the Intel® PDN tool for a current value below 0.001A, the tool encounters a divide or multiply by zero error.

Resolution

To work around this problem, you can enter 0.001A to calculate decoupling for currents less than 0.001A. Entering 0.001A will not significantly burden your decoupling solution.
