Critical Issue
When the DisplayPort TX core operates in Multi-Stream Transport (MST) mode and you
program the TAVG_TS
x bit at address 0x00aa to 0
(if the fraction of TARGET_Average_StreamSymbolPerMTP
is 0), you may
not see any image output.
This issue is caused by the DisplayPort IP core that erroneously inserts the
Virtual Channel Payload Fill (VCPF) at every Multi-Stream Transport Packet (MTP).
When the fraction of TARGET_Average_StreamSymbolPerMTP
is 0, the VCPF
should not be seen at any MTP.
This error causes the stream bandwidth to eventually exceed the link bandwidth.
There is no workaround for this issue.
This issue is fixed in version 16.1 of DisplayPort IP core.
