Intel® Desktop Processor product order codes

Intel® Desktop Processor order codes are typically boxed order codes or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) order codes.

The boxed order code belongs to the retail or boxed processor product that comes with a processor, manual, sticker, and fan–heat sink. These products are sold in the channel and come with an Intel three-year warranty. We provide technical support and warranty services for these processors.

The OEM order code, also known as the tray order code, refers to processors sold directly to system manufacturers who integrate these processors in their PCs. System manufacturers provide the technical support and warranty services for the processors.

Note The Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme Processor family has one package type called LGA775. When you select a desktop board, make sure to select one that supports your specific package type and BIOS.
