Use Your Encrypted Intel® Solid State Drive on a Different System

Intel® Solid State Drives (Intel® SSDs) can be used in any system that supports drive encryption, as long as the correct password is used. If using a desktop system, it is generally best to connect the password-protected drive to the SATA 0 connector.

If the system does not provide the option to enter a drive password, the Intel® SSD remains locked and the data cannot be accessed.
